The Instruction of Bala and Atibala
दशरथनृपसूनुसत्तमाभ्यां
तृणशयनेऽनुचिते सहोषिताभ्याम्।
कुशिकसुतवचोऽनुलालिताभ्यां
सुखमिव सा विबभौ विभावरी च।।1.22.23।।
daśarathanṛpasūnusattamābhyāṃ tṛṇaśayane 'nucite sahōṣitābhyām | kuśikasutavaco 'nulālitābhyāṃ sukham iva sā vibabhau vibhāvarī ca || 1.22.23 ||
那一夜,对达沙拉陀王的两位至善之子而言,仿佛也近乎安适;虽同卧于不惯的草席之上,却因鸠尸迦之子(毗湿瓦蜜多罗)温柔的言语而得以慰藉安抚。
. Rama, the highly heroic after acquiring knowledge (of the two sciences) and having rendered all services to preceptor Viswamitra, appeared resplendent like the Sungod in autumn. There the three of them spent the night comfortably on the bank of Sarayu.
Dharma includes cheerful acceptance of hardship for a righteous mission. The princes’ willingness to sleep on grass reflects self-restraint and readiness for duty.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa spend the night outdoors with Viśvāmitra, adapting to ascetic travel conditions.
Simplicity and fraternal steadiness: the brothers endure discomfort together, supported by the guru’s reassuring speech.
