श्रीमद्रामायणकथासङ्क्षेपः / The Ramayana in Synopsis
Narada’s Summary to Valmiki
स जगाम वनं वीर: प्रतिज्ञामनुपालयन्।पितुर्वचननिर्देशात्कैकेय्या: प्रियकारणात् ।।।।
sa jagāma vanaṃ vīraḥ pratijñām anupālayan | pitur vacananirdeśāt kaikeyyāḥ priyakāraṇāt ||
那位英雄前往森林,守持誓约——遵父命而行,并为成就凯凯伊所愿。
Thereafter, having seen the preparations for installation of Rama, queen Kaikeyi who had been promised earlier with boons by Dasaratha demanded of him the exile of Rama and enthronement of Bharata.
Dharma as fidelity to one’s vow and obedience to rightful authority: Rāma upholds the promise-structure (satya) even at great personal cost.
Rāma accepts exile and departs for the forest in response to Daśaratha’s command shaped by Kaikeyī’s boon.
Steadfast vow-keeping (pratijñā-pālana) and filial obedience aligned with dharma.
