जराजर्जरितैः पद्मैशशीर्णकेसरकर्णिकैः।नालषेर्हिमध्वस्सैर्न भन्ति कमलाकराः।।।।
jarājarjaritaiḥ padmaiḥ śīrṇakesarakarṇikaiḥ |
nālaśeṣair himadhvastair na bhānti kamalākarāḥ ||
莲池不复光彩:莲花为岁月所摧,花丝与花房尽皆枯萎,只余茎梗,亦被霜寒所毁。
The lotuses in the tank no more shine (bright) as they are decayed by age, their filaments and pericarps withered with only stalks remaining.
It points toward detachment and truth about change: beauty and vitality decline with time; dharma asks one to ground life in enduring values (satya, duty) rather than transient appearances.
Rama continues the winter description, noting how frost has dulled the lotus-ponds.
