Dharma includes safeguarding sacred rites and communal religious life; attacks on yajña/homa are portrayed as attacks on the moral-spiritual order itself.

The sages’ steadfastness in ritual duty despite fear, and the expectation of righteous protection for those maintaining sacred practices.
