Educational Q&A

Remembering and reciting a dharmic narrative of deliverance is presented as spiritually efficacious: it strengthens resilience in crisis and is said to generate tangible welfare—abundance, safety, health—and intangible welfare—growth of merit (puṇya).

Vaiśaṃpāyana states a phalaśruti (statement of benefits): the episode describing the Pāṇḍavas’ rescue from adversity, when read or recited, becomes a powerful aid for listeners/reciters to overcome great dangers and gain well-being.
