To maintain the king’s goodwill, one should openly and consistently use what the king has granted—vehicle, clothing, ornaments, or other gifts—thereby showing gratitude, loyalty, and respect for royal favor.
Dhaumya is giving practical counsel about conduct in relation to a king: accepting royal gifts and making regular use of them is presented as a way to remain in the king’s good graces and become more beloved.
