Uttara’s Resolve and Draupadī’s Identification of Bṛhannadā as Charioteer (विराट पर्व, अध्याय ३४)
मनसकश्षाप्यभिप्रेतं यथेष्टं भुवि दुर्लभम् । तत् ते5हं सम्प्रदास्यामि सर्वमर्हति नो भवान्,“इस पृथ्वीपर दुर्लभ जो और भी प्रिय तथा मनोवांछित पदार्थ होगा, वह भी मैं आपको दूँगा। आप तो हमारा सब कुछ पानेके अधिकारी हैं
manasakṣāpy abhipretaṃ yatheṣṭaṃ bhuvi durlabham | tat te 'haṃ sampradāsyāmi sarvam arhati no bhavān ||
毗湿摩波耶那说:“凡此大地上稀有之物——凡心中所爱、所愿、所求者——你但有所欲,我皆赐与你。你堪受我等所有的一切。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic generosity and honor: one should recognize worthiness and respond with wholehearted giving, even of what is rare, when gratitude and duty call for it.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a speaker offers an exceptionally generous promise—granting even rare, dearly desired things—affirming that the addressed person is entitled to receive everything from them.
