Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 25: Kaurava Deliberation and the Search Directive (अन्वेषण-आदेशः)
संगतं भ्रातृभिश्नापि त्रिगर्तैश्न महारथै: । दुर्योधनं सभामध्ये आसीनमिदमन्रुवन्,वहाँ वे धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र कुरुनन्दन दुर्योधनसे मिले, जो द्रोण, कर्ण, कृपाचार्य, महात्मा भीष्म, अपने सम्पूर्ण भाई तथा महारथी त्रिगर्तोके साथ राजसभामें बैठा था। उससे मिलकर उन गुप्तचरोंने यों कहा
saṅgataṃ bhrātṛbhiś cāpi trigartaiś ca mahārathaiḥ | duryodhanaṃ sabhāmadhye āsīnam idam abruvan ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道:密探们拜见难敌——他正与诸弟兄及特里伽尔塔的诸大车战士同坐王廷之中——便以如下言辞启奏于他。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how information and alliances gathered in royal courts can steer moral outcomes: intelligence used to inflame hostility strengthens adharma, whereas counsel aligned with restraint and justice supports dharma.
Spies (implied by the surrounding context) approach Duryodhana, who is seated in the court with his brothers and allied Trigarta warriors, and begin delivering their report—setting up the next developments in the Virāṭa Parva.
