वैशम्पायन उवाच तस्यास्ता: कृपणा वाच: कृष्णाया: परिदेवितम् । श्रुत्वैवाभ्यापतद् भीम: शयनादविचारयन्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! द्रौपदीकी वह दीन वाणी और करुण विलाप सुनते ही भीमसेन बिना कोई विचार किये शय्यासे कूद पड़े
vaiśampāyana uvāca | tasyāstāḥ kṛpaṇā vācaḥ kṛṣṇāyāḥ paridevitam | śrutvaivābhyāpatad bhīmaḥ śayanād avicārayan |
毗湿摩波耶那说道：“大王啊，毗摩一听到黑公主德罗帕蒂（克里希那）说出那凄楚之言、发出悲恸的哀号，便立刻从榻上跃起——不作片刻思量——心中燃起对她的猛烈忧惧，也因武士之责必须回应此等侮辱。”
