Educational Q&A

Merit gained through righteous giving—especially when supported by self-restraint and proper observance—is described as akṣayya, “imperishable,” emphasizing the lasting ethical value of charity.

During a discourse on pilgrimage and sacred acts, disciplined sages affirm that the fruit of such a gift is inexhaustible, reinforcing the promised spiritual results of tīrtha-related charity.
