घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes humility and dependence on higher approval: spiritual power (tapas) is not treated as mere personal achievement but as something sustained by the grace (prasāda) of revered elders/ancestors, sought through respectful supplication.
The speaker addresses the Pitṛs (ancestral beings), stating that if they are pleased and favor him, he asks for their blessing—specifically that his ascetic energy and accomplishment be restored and made complete again.
