Damayantī’s Dialogue with Bāhuka; Recognition and Disclosure
अत्र मे महती शड़्का भवेदेष नलो नृप: । यथा च मनसस्तुष्टिहददयस्य च निर्वति:,इसके विषयमें मुझे बड़ी भारी शंका है। सम्भव है, इस वेषमें राजा नल ही हों। मेरे मनमें जैसा संतोष है और हृदयमें जैसी शान्ति है, इसे मेरी उक्त धारणा पुष्ट हो रही है
atra me mahatī śaṅkā bhaved eṣa nalo nṛpaḥ | yathā ca manasaḥ tuṣṭir hṛdayasya ca nirvṛtiḥ ||
布里哈达湿婆说道:“我心中生起极大的疑念:此人或许正是乔装的那罗王。心神的满足与胸中的安宁,仿佛都在印证这份怀疑。”
बृहदश्चव उवाच
Inner clarity—contentment of mind and peace of heart—can serve as a moral-psychological confirmation when judging uncertain situations; intuition grounded in calmness is presented as a trustworthy guide.
Bṛhadaśva, observing a person before him, feels a strong suspicion that the figure is actually King Nala in a concealed form; his growing mental satisfaction and heartfelt calm reinforce this recognition.
