प्रच्छन्ना हि महात्मानश्वरन्ति पृथिवीमिमाम् । दैवेन विधिना युक्ता: शास्त्रोक्तैश्न निरूपणै:,“बहुत-से महात्मा प्रच्छन्न रूप धारण करके देवोचित विधि तथा शास्त्रोक्त नियमोंसे युक्त होकर इस पृथ्वीपर विचरते रहते हैं
pracchannā hi mahātmānaś caranti pṛthivīm imām | daivena vidhinā yuktāḥ śāstroktaiś ca nirūpaṇaiḥ ||
许多大德之士，常以隐蔽之形游行于此大地——遵循天命之法度，又以《沙斯特拉》（śāstra）所载的戒律规矩自持。此言寓意：真德或现于卑微、或藏于不显；故待人当怀敬畏，行事须守伦理之谨慎，因为正直之人或近在咫尺而未必为人所识。
