नलस्य विवस्त्रीकरणं दमयन्ती-सहानुगमनं च
Nala’s Disrobing and Damayantī’s Companionship
अथाब्रवीत् कलिं शक्र: सम्प्रेक्ष्य बलवृत्रहा । द्वापरेण सहायेन कले ब्रूहि क्व यास्यसि,कलियुगको देखकर बल और वृत्रासुरका नाश करनेवाले इन्द्रने पूछा--“कले! बताओ तो सही द्वापरके साथ कहाँ जा रहे हो?”
athābravīt kaliṃ śakraḥ samprekṣya balavṛtrahā | dvāpareṇa sahāyena kale brūhi kva yāsyasi ||
于是,释迦(因陀罗)——那位强大的诛灭弗栗陀罗者——注视着迦梨,说道:“迦梨啊,你与堕婆罗同行——告诉我,你要往何处去?”
बु॒हदश्व उवाच
The verse highlights vigilance toward forces that erode dharma: even when decline (Kali) advances with an ally (Dvāpara), divine authority interrogates and seeks accountability, implying that disorder should be recognized and checked rather than ignored.
Bṛhadaśva narrates that Indra, famed for killing Vṛtra, sees Kali moving along with Dvāpara and directly questions him about his destination, setting up a confrontation with the personified yugas.
