दमयन्त्याः व्याकुलता — स्वयंवरसंनिपातः — देवदूतयाचनम्

संजय उवाच व्यतिक्रमो<यं सुमहांस्त्वया राजन्नुपेक्षित: । समर्थेनापि यन्मोहात् पुत्रस्ते न निवारित:,संजयने कहा--राजन्! आपके द्वारा यह बहुत बड़ा अन्याय हुआ है, जिसकी आपने जान-बूझकर उपेक्षा की है (उसे रोकनेकी चेष्टा नहीं की है); वह यह है कि आपने समर्थ होते हुए भी मोहवश अपने पुत्रको कभी रोका नहीं
sañjaya uvāca vyatikramo 'yaṃ sumahāṃs tvayā rājann upekṣitaḥ | samarthenāpi yan mohāt putras te na nivāritaḥ ||
三阇耶说道：“大王啊，你忽视了一桩极其重大的过失。你本有能力约束他，却因迷妄，从未制止过你的儿子。”
