वैशम्पायन उवाच ततो देव महादेवं गिरिशं शूलपाणिनम्‌ | ददर्श फाल्गुनस्तत्र सह देव्या महाद्युतिम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! तदनन्तर अर्जुनने शूलपाणि महातेजस्वी महादेवजीका देवी पार्वती-सहित दर्शन किया

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tato deva-mahādevaṃ giriśaṃ śūlapāṇinam | dadarśa phālgunas tatra saha devyā mahādyutim ||

毗湿摩耶那说道:于是,阿周那(法尔古那)在彼处见到大自在天摩诃提婆——群山之主、执三叉戟者——以无比光辉照耀,并与女神(帕尔瓦蒂)同在。此景昭示阿周那之求取根植于敬畏与严谨的奉修:神力不可凭强夺与自恃而近,只能以谦卑与正行而求;而此一显现,也印证了他所行之事在道义上的正当性。
