नचार्थों भैक्ष्यचर्येण नापि क्लैब्येन कह्िचित् । वेत्तुं शक्य: सदा राजन् केवल धर्मबुद्धिना,“राजन्! भीख माँगनेसे, कायरता दिखानेसे अथवा केवल धर्ममें ही मन लगाये रहनेसे धनकी प्राप्ति कदापि नहीं हो सकती
na cārtho bhaikṣyacaryeṇa nāpi klaibyena kaścit | vettum śakyaḥ sadā rājan kevala-dharma-buddhinā ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道：“大王啊，财富既非靠乞食度日可得，亦非靠怯懦退缩可得；更不可能仅凭一味守着‘我行正法’的念头便能获得。物质的兴盛须有相应的努力与手段，而非无助与偏执的一面虔行。”
