स सूतो भार्यया सार्थ विम्मयोत्फुल्ललोचन: । अड्कमारोप्य तं बालं भारया वचनमब्रवीत्,उसे देखकर पत्नीसहित सूतके नेत्रकमल आश्चर्य एवं प्रसन्नतासे खिल उठे। उसने बालकको गोदमें लेकर अपनी पत्नीसे कहा--
sa sūto bhāryayā sārthaṁ vismayotphullalocanaḥ | aṅkam āropya taṁ bālaṁ bhāryāyā vacanam abravīt ||
毗湿摩波耶那说：车夫偕同妻子见到那孩子，莲华般的双眼因惊异与欢喜而大大睁开。他将孩子抱起置于膝上，便对妻子说道——言辞里满是震撼，也有对这无依幼儿渐生的担当之心。
