प्रयाहि राजन् भद्ठं ते घुष्टस्ते नगरे जय: । अध्यास्स्व चिररात्राय पितृपैतामहं पदम्,“राजन! आपका कल्याण हो। अब अपने राज्यमें पधारिये। नगरमें आपकी विजय घोषित कर दी गयी है। आप दीर्घकालतक अपने बाप-दादोंके राज्यपर प्रतिष्ठित रहें!
prayāhi rājan bhadraṁ te ghuṣṭas te nagare jayaḥ | adhyāssva cirarātrāya pitṛpaitāmahaṁ padam ||
马尔坎德耶说道:“去吧,国王,愿吉祥临汝。城中已宣告汝之胜利。愿汝久坐父祖相传之宝座,稳固其位,绵延长久。”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse affirms dharmic kingship: rightful rule is tied to public recognition (victory proclaimed) and continuity with ancestral duty (the ‘seat of fathers and grandfathers’). It frames political success as something to be held with stability and long-term responsibility, not mere conquest.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses a king and gives a benediction, urging him to return to his kingdom. He reports that the city has already announced the king’s victory and encourages him to take up and remain established in his ancestral royal position for a long time.
