कुन्तीगर्भगोपनम् तथा मञ्जूषाप्रवाहः
Kuntī’s concealed childbirth and the river-borne casket
शक्तीश्व विविधाकारा: शतध्नीश्व शितान् क्षुरान् । उस समय श्रीरामचन्द्रजीके ऊपर भाँति-भाँतिके हजारों शस्त्र गिरने लगे तथा भुशुण्डी, शूल, मुसल, फरसे, नाना प्रकारकी शक्तियाँ, शतघ्नी और तीखी धारवाले बाणोंकी वृष्टि होने लगी
śaktīś ca vividhākārāḥ śatadhnīś ca śitān kṣurān |
马尔坎德耶说道：“就在那时，无情的兵刃之雨倾泻在圣罗摩旃陀罗身上——形制各异的钉头槌与大棒、沉重的铁制投射器（śatadhnī），以及锋利如剃刃的箭矢——仿佛连苍穹也在降下暴烈的凶器。此景既显攻势之极端，又反衬出守义之英雄的坚忍：他承受万般摧折而不离正法（dharma）。”
