Dyumatsena’s Restoration and Sāvitrī’s Disclosure of Yama’s Boons
sīte paryāptam etāvat kṛto bhartur anugrahaḥ | prasādaṃ kuru tanvaṅgi kriyatāṃ parikarma te ||
The verse highlights a social-ethical ideal of measured devotion: Sītā’s loyalty to her husband is acknowledged as complete, and she is urged to extend graciousness in another context as well—suggesting that dharma includes balance, propriety, and responsiveness to rightful requests.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses Sītā directly, praising that she has already shown ample favor toward her husband, and then requests her consent or cooperation so that her personal preparation/adornment (parikarma) may be performed.
