Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān

yāvad aśabhyāgatā raudrāḥ piśācyas tāḥ sudāruṇāḥ | dadṛśus tāṃ trijaṭayā sahāsīnāṃ yathā purā ||

Educational Q&A

Even amid coercion and hostile surroundings, steadfastness in dharma is sustained by inner resolve and the presence of at least one compassionate ally (here, Trijaṭā), showing how moral support can protect integrity against intimidation.

The fierce piśācinī attendants return from Rāvaṇa’s court and find Sītā sitting as before with Trijaṭā, indicating that their threats or reports have not altered Sītā’s composed stance and that Trijaṭā remains by her side.
