Jatāyu’s Resistance, Sītā’s Traces, Kabandha’s Release, and the Path to Sugrīva (Āraṇyaka-parva 263)
तं च पर्यचरद् राजा दिवारात्रमतन्द्रित:
taṃ ca paryacarad rājā divārātram atandritaḥ
国王便侍奉于他——昼夜不息——毫不懈怠,尽显警醒的服侍与坚守的本分。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as tireless, attentive service—steadfastness in one’s responsibility without negligence, even when it demands constant effort.
Vaiśampāyana states that a king continuously attends upon a particular person (‘him’), serving day and night with unwavering vigilance; the line emphasizes the king’s devoted conduct rather than naming the recipient here.
