अर्जुनस्य वधे क्रूरां करोति सम तदा मतिम्‌ । इधर कर्ण भी नरकासुरकी अन्तरात्मासे आविष्टचित्त होनेके कारण अर्जुनका वध करनेके लिये क्रूरतापूर्ण संकल्प करने लगा

arjunasya vadhe krūrāṁ karoti saṁ tadā matim |

毗湿摩波罗衍那说:就在那时,他生起了冷酷而无情的决意,要促成阿周那之死。其内心被压倒——心识为与那罗迦苏罗相关的影响所攫取——迦尔那遂转向残忍的杀意,立誓诛杀阿周那;这表明内在的“附着”与不加节制的敌意,足以扭曲判断,驱人走向非正法(adharma)。
