पिपासवो ययुर्देवा: शतक्रतुपुरोगमा: । उन दिनों वे महर्षिगण जो यज्ञ कर रहे थे, उसमें भाग लेनेके लिये तथा सोमपान करनेके लिये इन्द्र आदि सभी देवता वहाँ पधारे थे। उन सबके मनमें सोमपान की इच्छा थी

Transliteration

pipāsavo yayur devāḥ śatakratu-purogamāḥ |

Translation

马尔坎德耶说道：诸天渴慕苏摩，遂启程而来，以百祭主（因陀罗）为先导。大圣仙所行之祭祀吸引了他们，他们前来领取各自应得之分，并饮苏摩——由此可见，即便诸神亦受祭礼之秩序与祭中分配之权分所约束。
