Kaurava Court Hears of the Pāṇḍavas’ Forest Hardship
brahmovāca—mayaitac cintitaṃ kāryaṃ tvayā dānavasūdana | tathā sa bhavitā garbho balavān uruvikramaḥ ||
The verse emphasizes concord between divine intention and a righteous agent’s deliberation: when action aligns with a higher, dharmic resolve, it bears potent, destiny-shaping results—here symbolized by the arising of a powerful future hero.
Brahmā addresses the figure called “Dānavasūdana,” affirming that the plan the addressee has contemplated is the same as Brahmā’s own decision, and predicting that following it will lead to the emergence of a mighty child (garbha) endowed with great prowess.
