देवास्तत्रापि गच्छन्ति मार्गमाणा यथादिशम् | दृष्टवा त्वग्निरथर्वाणं ततो वचनमत्रवीत्,तब देवतालोग सब दिशाओंमें उनकी खोज करते हुए वहाँ भी पहुँचने लगे। एक दिन अथर्वा (अंगिरा)-को देखकर अग्निने उनसे कहा--
devās tatrāpi gacchanti mārgamāṇā yathādiśam | dṛṣṭvā tv agnir atharvāṇaṃ tato vacanam abravīt ||
马尔坎德耶说道：“诸神奉命循向四方搜寻，也来到了那处。其时，阿耆尼见到阿闼婆（Atharvan，亦属安吉罗族）便开口对他说话——于是，后续的劝告与行动由此发动。”
