इति श्रीमहा भारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि आंगिरसोपाख्याने एकविंशत्यधिकद्वधिशततमो<5 ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparvaṇi āṅgirasopākhyāne ekaviṃśatyadhikadvāśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ | itthaṃ śrīmahābhārate vanaparva-ke antargata mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparva meṃ āṅgirasopākhyāna-viṣayaka do sau ikkīsavāṃ adhyāya pūrā huā |

Translation

马尔坎德耶说道：“如是，在《摩诃婆罗多》之《森林篇》（Vana Parva）中，隶属‘马尔坎德耶—萨马斯亚’段落，名为‘安吉罗萨副传’（Āṅgirasa Upākhyāna）之叙事至此终了——此为第二百二十一章。”换言之，此题记以正式之辞封闭本章，宣告该段故事圆满，并劝听者将其伦理旨趣铭记于心，作为《森林篇》以典范故事阐明达摩之教的一部分。
