Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)
एतत् ते सर्वमाख्यातं यथा मम पुराभवत्,विप्रवर! पूर्वजन्ममें मेरे ऊपर जो कुछ बीता था, वह सब मैंने आपसे कह सुनाया। अब इस जीवनके पश्चात् मुझे स्वर्गलोकमें जाना है
etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ yathā mama purābhavat | vipravara! pūrvajanmani me mayi upari yat kiṃcid bītam, tat sarvaṃ mayā te kathitaṃ śrāvitaṃ | adhunā asya jīvanasya paścāt mama svargalokaṃ gantavyam |
“婆罗门中最尊者啊,我已将一切都告诉你了,正如往昔在我身上发生的那样。我前生所经历的一切——凡降临于我的一切——都已向你陈述。如今,待此生终了,我注定将前往天界。”
व्याध उवाच
That one should speak truthfully about one’s past actions and experiences, recognizing the moral law of karma: what one undergoes is connected to prior deeds, and righteous conduct can lead to higher destinies such as heaven.
The hunter (Vyadha), addressing a Brahmin, concludes his account of what happened to him in a former birth and states that after the end of his present life he is destined to attain Svargaloka.
