जीवनाय समाक्तलिन्नं वसु दत्त्वा महीयते । वैश्यं तु वासयेद्‌ यस्तु सर्वयज्ञै: स इष्टवान्‌

Transliteration

jīvanāya samāktalinnaṃ vasu dattvā mahīyate | vaiśyaṃ tu vāsayed yas tu sarvayajñaiḥ sa iṣṭavān ||

Translation

马尔坎德耶说道：“以财物济人之生者，必受尊崇。又凡为吠舍（Vaiśya）供给居所与资助者，便被视作已行尽一切祭祀（yajña）。”
