True worship is defined as steady contemplation of the Divine supported by ethical and psychological discipline: peace as one’s aim, restraint, freedom from desire/anger/hatred, non-attachment, purity, egolessness, and competence in self-knowledge.
A deity speaks to describe the qualities of ideal spiritual practitioners—ascetics and brahmins—who worship not merely through ritual but through constant remembrance and inner transformation, presenting a normative model of dharmic devotion in the forest-episode context of Vana Parva.
