नातिदूरापयाते तु रथे रथवरप्रणुत् । धनुर्गृहीत्वा यन्तारं लब्धसंज्ञो5ब्रवीदिदम्,अभी वह रथ अधिक दूर नहीं जाने पाया था, तभी बड़े-बड़े रथियोंको परास्त करनेवाले प्रद्युम्म सचेत हो गये और हाथमें धनुष लेकर सारथिसे इस प्रकार बोले --
nātidūrāpayāte tu rathe rathavarapraṇut | dhanur gṛhītvā yantāraṃ labdhasaṃjño 'bravīd idam ||
