मानुषान्मृत्युरेतेषां निर्दिष्टो ब्रह्मणा पुरा एतानपि रणे पार्थ कालकज्जान् दुरासदान् वज्ास्त्रेण नयस्वाशु विनाशं सुमहाबलान्,पूर्वकालमें ब्रह्माजीने मनुष्यके हाथसे इनकी मृत्यु निश्चित की थी। कुन्तीकुमार! ये कालकंज और पौलोम अत्यन्त बलवान तथा दुर्धर्ष हैं। तुम युद्धमें वज्रास्त्रके द्वारा इनका भी शीघ्र ही संहार कर डालो
arjuna uvāca | mānuṣān mṛtyur eteṣāṃ nirdiṣṭo brahmaṇā purā | etān api raṇe pārtha kālakajāṃ durāsadān | vajrāstreṇa nayasvāśu vināśaṃ sumahābalān ||
阿周那说道:“久远之前,梵天已宣定:这些众生必将死于人类之手。因此,噢,帕尔塔,即便是那些强悍难近、令人畏惧的迦罗迦阇战士——力大无穷——也当在战场上以金刚之武迅速送入毁灭。如此,既定之命运便由守纪之行、为护持正法而得以成就。”
अजुन उवाच
The verse frames battle-action as the execution of a prior divine decree: fate (Brahmā’s ordinance) does not negate human responsibility but is fulfilled through disciplined, duty-bound action—especially the kṣatriya obligation to confront dangerous aggressors.
Arjuna urges Pārtha (addressing Arjuna by his epithet in the received text’s style) to destroy the formidable Kālakaja foes in battle using the Vajrāstra, noting that Brahmā had already destined their death at human hands.
