न्यवारयत् तौ प्रहसन् कुन्तीपुत्रो वृकोदर: । शक्तोहं राक्षसस्येति प्रेक्षध्वमिति चाब्रवीत्,परंतु कुन्तीकुमार भीमसेनने हँसकर उन दोनोंको रोक दिया और कहा--“मैं अकेला ही इस राक्षसके लिये पर्याप्त हूँ। तुमलोग चुप-चाप देखते रहो”
nyavārayat tau prahasan kuntīputro vṛkodaraḥ | śakto'haṃ rākṣasasye'ti prekṣadhvam iti cābravīt ||
毗耶娑波耶那说道：毗摩——昆蒂之子、“狼腹者”弗利科达罗——笑着拦住二人，宣言道：“区区罗刹，我一人足矣。你们安静站着，只管看。”这一刻凸显了毗摩护佑同伴的决心与自信：他以一己之身担起责任，要将伙伴们隔绝于危险之外。
