Kuberasaras-darśana (Bhīma beholds Kubera’s guarded lotus-lake) / कुबेरसरः-दर्शनम्
एतावदिह शक्तस्त्वं द्रष्ट रूप॑ं ममानघ । वर्धेडहं चाप्पतो भूयो यावन्मे मनसि स्थितम् | भीमशशत्रुषु चात्यर्थ वर्धते मूर्तिरोजसा,“अनघ! तुम यहाँ मेरे इतने ही बड़े रूपको देख सकते हो, परंतु मैं इससे भी बड़ा हो सकता हूँ। मेरे मनमें जितने बड़े स्वरूपकी भावना होती है, उतना ही मैं बढ़ सकता हूँ। भयानक शशत्रुओंके समीप मेरी मूर्ति अत्यन्त ओजके साथ बढ़ती है”
etāvad iha śaktas tvaṃ draṣṭuṃ rūpaṃ mamānagha | vardhe 'haṃ cāpy ato bhūyo yāvan me manasi sthitam | bhīmaśaśatruṣu cātyarthaṃ vardhate mūrtir ojasā ||
毗舍婆耶那曰:“无垢者啊,在此你所能见的,只是我形体的这一分而已。然而我还能更为扩展:我心中所念之形有多广大,我便能增长至多广大。且当可怖之敌逼近时,我这具现身将以无比威势猛然膨胀,充满压倒性的精力。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes the idea of expandable potency: a being’s manifested form and strength can increase according to inner resolve (manas) and the demands of protection, especially in the presence of hostile forces.
A speaker (reported by Vaiśaṃpāyana) describes his form as something the listener can only partially perceive, while asserting the capacity to grow far larger—particularly when confronting fearsome enemies, where his manifestation intensifies with ojas (vital, heroic energy).
