Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
devā ūcuḥ kva tad bhūtaṃ vasumatīṃ samuddharati hṛṣṭavat | taṃ deśaṃ bhagavan brūhi tatra yāsyāmahe vayam ||
The verse highlights reverence for divine protection of the world: when cosmic order is threatened, the Lord acts to uphold and restore it, and the gods respond with devotion and a desire to witness and honor that saving act.
In Lomasha’s narration, the gods ask to be told the location where the Lord—implicitly in the boar (Varāha) form—is joyfully raising the Earth, so that they may go there together.
