त॑ जातं मातर: सर्वा: परिवार्य समासत । सततं पृष्ठतः कृत्वा कामभोगान् विशाम्पते,राजन! उसके जन्म लेनेके पश्चात् सभी माताएँ काम-भोगकी ओरसे मुँह मोड़कर सदा उसी बच्चेके पास उसे सब ओरसे घेरकर बैठी रहती थीं
taṁ jātaṁ mātaraḥ sarvāḥ parivārya samāsata | satataṁ pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā kāmabhogān viśāmpate ||
孩子一出生,诸位母亲便聚拢而来,四面围坐,将他护在中央。她们背弃欲乐之享,恒常守在婴儿身旁——噢,民众之主——以他为唯一而坚定的牵念。
लोगश उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic reorientation: caregivers set aside personal pleasures (kāmabhoga) to protect and nurture the vulnerable. Ethical priority is given to responsibility, restraint, and steadfast care.
After the child’s birth, all the mothers gather closely, encircle him, and remain seated near him at all times, deliberately turning away from sensual enjoyments to focus on the infant’s safety and well-being.
