The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ
iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi tīrthayātrāparvaṇi lomaśatīrthayātrāyāṃ māndhātopākhyāne ṣaḍviṃśatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

This line is a colophon rather than a teaching verse: it frames the chapter within the Mahābhārata’s pilgrimage discourse, implying that tīrtha-yātrā and exemplary royal narratives (like Māndhātṛ’s) function as ethical instruction—guiding conduct through sacred travel, remembrance of dharma, and models of righteous rule.
The text is closing the chapter and identifying its placement: it belongs to the Vana Parva, specifically the Tīrtha-yātrā Parva, within Lomasa’s pilgrimage narration, and within the sub-episode about King Māndhātṛ. It signals the end of Adhyāya 126.
