Cyavana’s Reconciliation with Indra; Tīrtha-Indexing at Ārcīka-parvata and Yamunā
Chapter 125

The verse upholds satya (truthfulness) and steadfastness: a righteous person’s resolve should not become ‘mithyā’ (vain or false). It also frames ritual action as meaningful when grounded in integrity and completed with benevolent intent.
Lomaśa addresses a revered sage, affirming confidence that the sage will not let his undertaking become fruitless. He requests the sage’s favor (prasāda), submitting to the sage’s will—an appeal that combines respect for ritual propriety with trust in the sage’s moral reliability.
