Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
प्रादुर्भावसहस्रेषु तेषु तेषु त्वया विभो । अधर्मरुचय: कृष्ण निहता: शतशो<सुरा:,विभो! आपने सहस्रों अवतार धारण किये हैं और उन अवतारोंमें सैकड़ों असुरोंका, जो अधर्ममें रुचि रखनेवाले थे, वध किया है
prādurbhāva-sahasreṣu teṣu teṣu tvayā vibho | adharma-rucayaḥ kṛṣṇa nihatāḥ śataśo 'surāḥ ||
阿周那说道:“噢,遍一切的主宰!在你无数次的显现——一次又一次降世——你,噢,黑天,诛灭了成百的阿修罗,那些以非正法为乐者。”
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic principle: when adharma becomes dominant, the divine repeatedly manifests to restrain destructive forces and re-establish moral order. It frames divine power as ethically purposive—protective rather than merely punitive.
Arjuna addresses Kṛṣṇa with reverence, recalling that Kṛṣṇa has taken innumerable manifestations and, in those repeated advents, has destroyed many Asuras who were devoted to unrighteousness—thereby affirming Kṛṣṇa’s role as a guardian of dharma.
