Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the Assembly

The verse highlights the ethical-spiritual power of darśana: the sight of a righteous, divine guide (Janārdana/Kṛṣṇa) nourishes the heart beyond ordinary pleasure, suggesting that true fulfillment arises from contact with dharma and the divine rather than from transient worldly gains.
In the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war setting, a king (contextually, a royal figure meeting Kṛṣṇa) beholds Janārdana after a long time and remains fixed in gaze, unable to feel satiated—likened to drinking nectar—showing deep reverence and emotional absorption in Kṛṣṇa’s presence.
