Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition
iti śrīmahābhārate udyogaparvaṇi bhagavadyānaparvaṇi kṛṣṇavākye trisaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ
This line is a colophon marking the chapter’s close; its ethical import is contextual: Kṛṣṇa’s embassy and counsel in the Udyoga Parva frame dharma as something pursued first through negotiation and righteous speech before resorting to war.
The text signals the end of a chapter within the Bhagavad-yāna (Kṛṣṇa’s mission) portion of the Udyoga Parva, identifying it as the seventy-third chapter and associating it with ‘Kṛṣṇa’s discourse.’
