Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition

एतदेव निमित्तं ते पाण्डवास्तु यथा त्वयि । नान्वतप्यन्त कौपीनं तावत्‌ कृत्वापि दुष्करम्‌,पाण्डुनन्दन! कौरवोंके सन्धि न करनेका सबसे बड़ा कारण या प्रमाण तो यही है कि उन्होंने आपको कौपीन धारण कराकर तथा उतने दीर्घकालतकके लिये वनवासका दुष्कर कष्ट देकर भी कभी इसके लिये पश्चात्ताप नहीं किया

etad eva nimittaṁ te pāṇḍavās tu yathā tvayi | nānvatapyanta kaupīnaṁ tāvat kṛtvāpi duṣkaram, pāṇḍunandana |

尤提士提罗说道:“般度之子啊,唯此一事便是对他们最 निर्ण定的明证:看他们如何对待你与般度五子——纵使逼你仅着缠腰布,又令你久受流放林野之艰苦,他们也从未有过一次悔恨。正是这毫无悔意,成为与俱卢族(考罗婆)和解无法真正成立的最强理由。”
