काशिकभिश्रेदिपज्चालै मत्स्यैश्न मधुसूदन । भवता चैव नाथेन पज्च ग्रामा वृता मया,मधुसूदन! यद्यपि काशी, चेदि, पांचाल और मत्स्यदेशके वीर हमारे सहायक हैं और आप हमलोगोंके रक्षक और स्वामी हैं; (आपलोगोंकी सहायतासे हम सारा राज्य ले सकते हैं) तथापि मैंने केवल पाँच ही गाँव माँगे थे

Kāśikabhiś Cedi-Pañcālaiḥ Matsyaiś ca, Madhusūdana; bhavatā caiva nāthena pañca grāmā vṛtā mayā, Madhusūdana.

尤提士提罗说道:“噢,摩度苏陀那(Madhusūdana)!纵然迦尸、支提、般遮罗与摩蹉诸国的英雄皆与我等同心,纵然你亲自为我等护持、为我等之主——凭此助力,我们本可索取整个王国——然而我仍只求五座村邑。这是我克制而合乎法(dharma)的请求,为的是避免无谓的流血。”
