Educational Q&A

One should act consistently in accordance with dharma; even though life is transient, righteous action can secure enduring reputation and moral standing—so one must not allow one’s dharmic fame to decline through hesitation or weakness.

Sanjaya addresses a Pandava (styled also as Partha), affirming that his conduct is visibly dharmic and widely known, and urges him—mindful of life’s impermanence—not to let his renown and resolve diminish in the tense lead-up to conflict.
