कन्‍्यां प्रवररूपां तु प्राजायत नराधिप । नरेश्वर! पुत्रहीन राजा ट्रपदकी उस महारानीने समय आनेपर एक परम सुन्दरी कन्याको जन्म दिया

Transliteration

kanyāṁ pravararūpāṁ tu prājāyata narādhipa | nareśvara! putrahīno rājā drupadakī sā mahārājñī samaye āgate paramasundarīṁ kanyāṁ janayām āsa ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“大王，时至其时，德鲁帕达王虽无王子，其王后德鲁帕达姬仍诞下一位公主，容貌绝伦，仪态高贵。叙事表明，即便缺少男性继嗣，王族对传承的期盼与忧惧仍不曾止息；然而女儿的降生亦被视为意义重大、吉祥可庆之事。”
