भीष्मो वसूनामन्यतमो दिष्ट्या जीवसि पुत्रक । बेटा परशुराम! हम जो तुम्हारे गुरुजन--आदरणीय पितर हैं। इसलिये तुम्हें रोक रहे हैं। पुत्र! भीष्म वसुओंमेंसे एक वसु हैं। तुम अपना सौभाग्य ही समझो कि उनके साथ युद्ध करके अबतक जीवित हो
bhīṣma uvāca | bhīṣmo vasūnām anyatamo diṣṭyā jīvasi putraka |
毗湿摩说道：“我，毗湿摩，是八大婆苏之一。孩子啊，凭着福分你仍活着。我们这些长者——当如祖先与师长般受敬——因此才制止你。你当以此为自己的福报：即便与我这般的婆苏交战，你至今仍能保全性命。”
