Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
paśya me bāhuvīryaṃ ca vikramaṃ cātimānuṣam | evaṃ gate 'pi tu mayā yac chakyaṃ bhṛgunandana ||
The verse emphasizes steadfast resolve and personal accountability: even when circumstances are adverse, one should commit to doing whatever is truly within one’s capacity, grounding action in honor and duty rather than excuses.
Rāma (Paraśurāma) declares his extraordinary martial power and vows that, despite the situation at hand, he will still do all that he can—an assertion of readiness and determination in a conflict setting.
