Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)
evaṁ bruvati kanyāṁ tu pārthive hotravāhane | akṛtadraṇaḥ prādurāsīd rāmasyānucaraḥ priyaḥ ||
The verse highlights how royal deliberation and personal matters can be abruptly redirected by the arrival of agents representing higher martial-dharmic power. It frames an ethical tension between a ruler’s counsel, a woman’s situation, and the intervention of a renowned kṣatriya authority (Paraśurāma).
While King Hotravāhana is speaking to the princess, Akṛtadraṇa—Paraśurāma’s trusted attendant—appears. His sudden arrival signals an impending message or intervention connected with Paraśurāma, shifting the course of the episode.
