अम्बोपाख्याने तापसानां विचारः तथा होत्रवाहनस्य उपदेशः

सा त्वेनमब्रवीद् राजन् क्रियतां मदनुग्रह: । प्राव्राज्यमहमिच्छामि तपस्तप्स्यामि दुश्चरम्
sā tvenam abravīd rājan kriyatāṁ mad-anugrahaḥ | prāvrājyam aham icchāmi tapas tapsyāmi duścaram ||
她便对他说:“大王啊,愿你垂怜施恩于我。我愿出离尘世,走上遁世之道;我将修行严酷而艰难的苦行。”
भीष्म उवाच

Amba addresses the king, requesting his favor/permission to adopt the ascetic life (pravrajyā) and to remain engaged in severe austerities, marking a decisive turn toward spiritual means to pursue her purpose.
